Wonderland Wonders

Here are some extra ideas to make your Alice in Wonderland tea party even more delightfully “mad.”

Set The Scene

  • Mismatched Madness: Embrace the theme with odd cups, plates that don’t match, and wonky chairs of different sizes.
  • Clocks Everywhere: Hang clocks set to random times, or hide ticking alarm clocks in unexpected places!
  • Playing Card Decorations: Scatter playing cards, make a playing card garland, or turn a giant playing card into placemats.

Extra Touches

  • Mad Hatter Hat Contest: Have everyone decorate a simple paper hat beforehand. Award prizes for the most creative!
  • Silly Voices: Encourage everyone to speak in a slightly ridiculous voice for extra fun.
  • Wonderland Charades: Act out characters, scenes, or quotes from the book/movie.
  • Photo Booth: Set up a corner with Wonderland-themed props (hats, oversized glasses, etc.) for hilarious photos.

Bonus

If weather permits, do a silly outdoor craft – paint some items (rocks, pinecones, etc.) bright red. Now you’ll have a handmade souvenir of the afternoon.
