Get ready to putt your way through a whirlwind of adventure!
Make It Silly
- Obstacle Renaming: Before you start, give each hole a hilarious new name based on its features (The Windmill of Doom, The Treacherous Tunnel, etc.). This adds a layer of absurdity.
- Character Play: Embody silly characters while playing – an overly-dramatic golfer, a confused novice, etc. Extra points for bad accents!
- Scoreboard Shenanigans: Keep track of scores in a creative way. Draw a silly picture for every hole over par or make up funny “awards” for certain shots (Longest Putt, Most Creative Obstacle Bounce).
Golden Putter
- One-Handed Putts: Choose a specific hole where you both have to putt one-handed for added difficulty and giggles.
- Stake It: Come up with small, lighthearted stakes beyond the ice cream. The loser has to buy the winner their favorite candy bar, sing a silly song on the drive home, etc.
- “Pro” Move: Before playing, each of you chooses one hole where if you make a hole-in-one, you automatically win… but if you miss, you add a ton of strokes to your score!
Bonus Tip: If there’s an arcade near your mini-golf course, add a stop! Play classic games like skee-ball or air hockey for added amusement. You’re never too old to act like a kid again!
