- Meaningful Objects: Each person picks one small item that represents something they love (a favorite toy, a special charm, etc.).
- Predictions Page: Have everyone write down predictions for the future (what jobs they might have, technology, etc.).
- Family Handprints: Trace everyone’s handprints on colorful paper, add the date, and include them in the capsule.
Seal It Up
- The Container: Choose a sturdy, waterproof container. Decorate it as a family! Ideas: a large painted jar, a metal lunch box, a plastic storage bin.
- Beware: Label your capsule with a clear date in the future when it should be opened, “Do Not Open Until…”
- Can We Share?: If the capsule is opened by someone outside the family, include contact information in case they want to reach out!

- Map & Markers: Mark the location on a map, and consider placing a subtle marker at the spot (a painted rock, a special plant).
