Set the SummerStage

Alright music mavens, it’s time to waltz into an enchanting evening serenaded by the sweet sounds of some of the best artists around under a canopy of city lights and summer stars.

Let’s Duet This

  • Genre Exploration: SummerStage is known for diverse acts. Even if you know the headliner, explore the opening band/artist(s) on music streaming platforms to get a vibe for the entire evening.
  • Picnic Pack: Skip expensive park vendors! Craft a DIY spread with snacks, drinks (if allowed), and a nice blanket for extra comfort.
  • Game Time: Arrive early for good seating. Pack a travel-sized card game to pass the time.

Melodic Moves

  • Make it a Duet: Don’t be afraid to let loose and have your own dance party on the sidelines. Embrace the energy!
  • Look over there!: Concerts are a great place to observe interesting fashion choices and expressions of joy. Share your observations with each other.
  • Music Critic: Take turns analyzing the performance. Discuss what works, what doesn’t, and the overall mood the musicians create.

Standing Ovation

  • Extend the Soundtrack: Search for the artists you heard on Spotify and create a collaborative playlist to remember the night.
  • Stargaze: If the park has open areas, spread out on your blanket and look up! See if you can name constellations or share stories inspired by the starry sky.
  • Late-Night Eats: Find a classic NYC diner or funky late-night spot to grab a bite and chat about the highlights of the concert.

Bonus Tip: Some shows are standing room only, others have limited seating. Find this information out in advance and plan accordingly.
